GSCC Geothermal Counterflow Heat Pump with Desuperheater
Features and Benefits
Serviceability if simplified by providing access panels arranged for quick, simple
removal using not more than two fasteners. One access panel in vertical models of five
tons or smaller capacity provides access for service or maintenance.
A heavy-duty cabinet is specifically designed to absorb sound and provide continuous,
quiet operation.
Safety features are built in to protect the unit against unusual operating conditions.
Ease of installation is assured with the completeness of the unit's design; a prepiped,
prewired and precharged package.
Quiet Operation results from reduced compressor energy in water-cooled applications,
internal and external vibration isolation, and the use of heavy-gauge, insulated steel
cabinets that contain a major portion of generated noise.
Extended range operation is achieved through the use of an exclusive
water-to-refrigerant heat exchanger. This enhanced fin, helical coil in steel shell design
allows the heat pump to operate from 45 to 120 F. By using an antifreeze solution and low
temperature freezestat, it is possible to extend the range even further (25 F to 120 F).
This makes these units ideal for applications on earth-coupled systems.
