GXHA
Geothermal Horizontal Heat Pump
(No Desuperheater)
Features and Benefits
Serviceability is simplified by providing access panels arranged for quick, simple
removal using not more than two fasteners. Separate access panels in horizontal models
allow access to the control panel, blower assembly and the compressor compartments.
Heavy-duty cabinet is specifically designed to absorb sound and provide continuous
quiet operation.
Safety features are built-in to protect the unit against unusual operating conditions.
Ease of installation is assured with the completeness of the unit's design; a prepiped,
prewired and precharged package.
Quiet operation results from reduced compressor energy in water-cooled applications,
internal and external vibration isolation, and the use of heavy gauge, insulated steel
cabinets that contain a major portion of generated noise.
Extended range operation is achieved through the use of the exclusive
water-to-refrigerant heat exchanger. This enhanced fin, helical coil in steel shell
design, allows the heat pump to operate from 45 to 120 F. By using an antifreeze solution,
and in some models adding a variable orifice metering device, it is possible to extend the
range even further (25 F to 120 F). This makes these units ideal for applications on earth
coupled systems.
